Overview

The ddPCR World On Tour NHS Genomics Insight Forum brings together professionals from across the NHS clinical testing landscape — including Genomic Laboratory Hubs (GLHs), specialist molecular pathology services, virology laboratories and other high-throughput diagnostic environments. The day will focus on how digital PCR can support reproducible, efficient and scalable testing within regulated NHS workflows, while complementing existing sequencing and molecular technologies.

Forum Format

NHS Case-Study Presentations

Short, applied presentations from NHS laboratories sharing real-world experience deploying ddPCR in clinical and diagnostic workflows — practical, peer-led and directly relevant to your environment.

Facilitated Roundtable Discussions

Structured group discussions designed to encourage open exchange across roles and organisations — contribute your perspective and help shape shared priorities for NHS molecular and genomic testing

What You'll Take Away

  • Insight into how NHS laboratories are implementing and scaling ddPCR across different clinical testing applications
  • Shared approaches to achieving reproducibility, data comparability and consistency across sites and networks
  • Practical perspectives on reducing re-work, repeat testing and hidden operational costs
  • Examples of how ddPCR supports assay validation, quality assurance and confident clinical decision-making
  • The opportunity to contribute to peer-led discussion shaping future priorities for NHS molecular and genomic testing

Who Will Benefit

  • Professionals working across Genomic Laboratory Hubs (GLHs) and NHS diagnostic laboratories
  • Teams involved in molecular diagnostics, genomics, and clinical testing workflows
  • Clinical scientists, biomedical scientists, and laboratory specialists at all levels
  • Individuals supporting assay development, validation, and quality assurance
  • Laboratory managers, service leads, and operational teams
  • Those involved in evaluating, implementing, or optimising diagnostic technologies
Who should attend

Bio-Rad's Role

Facilitator and Contributor

Bio-Rad will facilitate the Insight Forum and share experience from supporting NHS laboratories deploying digital PCR in routine clinical testing.

Discussion will focus on how ddPCR systems and consumables can enable reproducibility, robust assay performance and efficient workflows — helping laboratories meet increasing demand while maintaining quality and compliance.

This is a peer-led forum; Bio-Rad's role is to support the conversation, not lead it.

Indicative Agenda

Final agenda to be confirmed. Format alternates between short NHS case-study presentations and facilitated roundtable sessions.
