Solidscreen® II

With Solidscreen II methodology, the proven microplate technology used worldwide, TANGO infinity eliminates unnecessary antibody workups associated with other methods reducing labor, reagent costs and delays in patient care. Through the use of intact RBCs vs. RBC stroma for antibody screening and identification, the Solidscreen II method ensures that only antibodies on the exterior of the red cell membrane are detected. The result is a very low false positive rate.

Reduce Steps

Solidscreen II plates are engineered with ease-of-use in mind. Our simple four-step test process is easily automated. The microwells are precoated with only Protein A not RBC stroma, resulting in a very stable product with a long shelf-life. Intact RBCs are mixed with sample and LISS. With Solidscreen II only Anti-IgG is required — no indicator cells. Antibody-coated RBCs will form a lattice with the Anti-IgG.

Improving results with less steps

Monoclonal antisera is dried and pre-coated in the microwells to reduce operator pre- and post-analytical steps. The use of Bromelin in this methodology enhances the reactivity leading to a stronger attraction of the red blood cells in the presence of a corresponding antibody.

Saving costs by design

Due to the separation of ABO and RhD confirmatory testing on different plates, waste is significantly reduced which in turn saves your lab from literally throwing away resources. Anti-D confirmatory testing may be performed on only RhD negative donors. The pre-coated wells allow you to start testing right away and reduce solid waste.
