Adam Brown, PhD,
Field Application Scientist
Adam Brown is a Houston-based field application scientist with Bio-Rad Laboratories. After getting a BA in Biology from Hendrix College, he worked for two years as a research technician at the Arkansas Children’s Research Institute investigating genomic alterations associated with congenital birth defects. He then trained for his PhD at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he studied transcription factors in colorectal cancer development. Upon completion of his doctorate, he moved to Houston to work as a genomics field application scientist, assisting customers at MD Anderson, Baylor College of Medicine, UT Southwestern, and Tulane, among others. Dr. Brown’s specialties include real-time PCR, droplet digital PCR, and NGS library preparation.
Brandon McKethan,
Field Application Scientist
Brandon McKethan has been a Field Application Scientist with Bio-Rad since 2014. Previously, he earned his Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. Prior to that, he studied at the University of North Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2005, and a Masters of Science in Biochemistry in 2007.

Professional with 19 years of experience in R&D and marketing in the biotech industry. Currently managing a marketing team in charge of the development and commercialization of reagents and consumables for PCR, qPCR, NGS and sample preparation. Directly involved with the response to emerging pathogen crises (Zika, COVID-19).
