Bio-Rad presents an educational webinar on the risks associated with foodborne B. cereus spore formers and the benefits of using an alternative method with higher performance than the current ISO standard method to ensure specific and sensitive detection of species. Florence Postollec
Project Manager at ADRIA Food Technology Institute & Coordinator of the Scientific UMT collaboration on the risks associated to sporeformers, Quimper (Fr).

For the past 14 years, Florence collaborated with the Mafart Team on risks associated with foodborne spore formers within the frame of UMT ACTIA competitive national cluster. This collaboration relies on mutual and complementarity of resource, equipment and know-how between ADRIA nonprofit institution and LUBEM University to increase knowledge and expertise in order to better mitigate these specific contaminants involved in food safety and spoilage issues.

Her main interests involve biodiversity and behavior heterogeneity induced after stress exposure. She is involved in the development of applied scientific projects / services related to spore former hazard identification, process or shelf-life optimization in close collaboration with food industrials. She was trained as biochemist, obtained a PhD in bacterial interactions at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Groningen (Nl) and gained experience in molecular microbiology when she joined ADRIA as a post doc working on the detection and identification of spore formers involved in food spoilage.

Philippe attended Caen University in France majoring in biology applied to biological, technical and food industries. After 3 years as hygiene and quality manager at Sodebo company, he began working with LDC Group as a hygiene manager and quality manager assistant (ISO 9001) for the laboratory and is now the technical, metrological and quality manager for the group. The Toque Angevine control lab is Cofrac accredited and Philippe is himself a technical Cofrac auditor in program 59. He is the IFS and ISO 9001 auditor for the whole LDC group. The central laboratory activity represents 7 collaborators for 46,000 products controlled per year on 10 subsidiaries for more than 160,000 enumerations, including 12,500 for B. cereus.
